Carwash Runoff

"Washing your car in a driveway or parking lot creates a small but toxic flow of detergents, surfactants, oils, rust, road salt, engine grime and degreasers. Even if you use a biodegradable soap -- or even no soap at all -- you still have all the nasty material that washes off your car. Carwash runoff degrades water quality, threatening river habitat and the entire food chain, including fish, insect and frogs." - excerpt from this article
