Not all Regions Experience the Same SLR from Melting Ice Sheets

The melting of land ice is expected to contribute to global sea level rise (SLR), but the regional rate of that SLR depends on where the ice is melting. For instance, a new study finds that melting on the northeastern part of the Greenland Ice Sheet causes exacerbated SLR in New York, while melting on the western part of the Greenland Ice Sheet increases SLR in London.
