Japan's Bribing Small Countries for Whaling Acquiescence

Greenpeace reports that the Japanese government has spent over $US320 million since 1987 to buy the support of small nations to allow Japan to conduct commercial whaling under the guise of scientific research. Japan's goal now is to overturn the international moratorium on commercial whaling and is continuing its practice of vote buying from small nations who are members of the International Whaling Commission.
