North Carolina's Coastal Zone Management Program Website

The North Carolina Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (NCDENR) Division of Coastal Management (NCDCM) Website is very well organized and easy to use.

This excellent website provides information on beach access, water quality (through links to other agencies), beach erosion, beach fill and shoreline structures.

Information about the North Carolina Division of Coastal Management (NCDCM) including the Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA) as well as other Current Rules Governing Coastal Management are available directly via the NCDCM Website.

NCDCM's CAMAgrams newsletter and other coastal management news.

Extensive maps and data are available from the website.

A few other highlights of this site are:

Evaluation Findings, North Carolina Coastal Management Program (October 2012) and Final Assessment and Strategy of the North Carolina Coastal Management Strategy (2011-2016) can be found on NOAA's OCRM website.

A set of links to NC county and city Websites can also be found on the NCDCM Website.

The NCDCM Website is up-to-date.
