Hurricane Andrew - Almost the Big One
- "Had the track been twenty miles to the north - and meteorologically we cannot even tell you the difference that would have created that track - downtown Miami would have looked like Homestead. And if it follows our nightmare track into New Orleans, it drives water into Lake Ponchartrain and empties it into New Orleans. The city would be under eighteen to twenty feet of water." (Quote by Robert C. Sheets, head of the National Hurricane Center as told to the 17th annual National Hurricane Conference in 1995)
