Canadian Government Allows Seal Killing
- The annual seal hunting season began this week in Canada and represents the largest marine mammal hunt in the world. This year, the Canadian government will allow up to 275,000 harp seals and10,000 hooded seals to be killed. (Source: International Fund for Animal Welfare, http://www.ifaw.org)
