Little Public Beach Access in MA and ME - The Bad and Rad from Surfrider's State of the Beach 2002

Massachusetts and Maine are the only states where the dry beach is not open to the public, severely limiting public beach access. In Maine, only 7 percent of the shoreline is publicly owned.
