29 Million Gallons of Oil Flow Into Coastal Waters Annually
- "The vast majority of the 29 million gallons of petroleum that flow into U.S. coastal waters each year comes from polluted rivers, small boats and jet skis, and can't be blamed on well-publicized oil spills, a report from the National Academy of Sciences said yesterday [May 23, 2002]."
