Orange County, CA Residents Willing to Pay for Secondary Treatment of Sewage
- "The Willingness of the public to pay for clean beaches is well in excess of what the district estimates it will cost to go to secondary treatment. Anderson recently stated that the cost for the district to upgrade treatment facilities would cost residents 5 cents per day or $20 per year." (Excerpt from a letter from Matt Hagemann, Executive Director of Orange Coast Watch, appearing in the Los Angeles Times, pg. B17, June 16, 2002)
