Foreign Ships Not Complying With Existing Lax Ballast Water Regulations
- "Of the estimated 100,000 ships from foreign waters that dock in the U.S. each year, just 30 percent provided information on their ballast water as required by the U.S. Coast Guard under the National Invasive Species Act of 1996 (NISA), finds the report by the National Ballast Information Clearinghouse."
