Sunlight May Help Block Some Cancers
- "Scientists have known for decades that vitamin D is essential to healthy bones and normal growth. But over the past 20 years or so, some laboratory evidence has suggested that vitamin D may block the growth of malignant tumors. The rub is that the vitamin D we ingest in milk and other foods is chemically activated in our bodies only when our skin is exposed to natural sunlight."
