We Can't Believe They Even Asked
- "The same industry lobbyists that piously tout the benefits of 'clean hydropower' have not hesitated to pile on to this long shot effort to exempt their dams from the Clean Water Act," said Andrew Fahlund, senior director for dams at American Rivers. "It's not so much that we're afraid they'll win, it's that we can't believe they even asked." - Statement made in relation to a recent Alabama court case where the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is seeking a blanket exemption from the Clean Water Act for the hydropower industry.
