Reward for Helping Catch Criminals Killing/Maiming Pelicans
- The International Bird Rescue Center in Los Angeles is offering a "$15,500 reward for information leading to any arrests in the ongoing maiming of endangered California brown pelicans". In the past 6 weeks, 16 pelicans have been found dead or injured, most in the Los Angeles area but also in the San Francisco area and along the Oregon coast.
