Delaware's Surf Spots

"Delaware's nine identified surf spots are in fair condition, but there are several threats to specific areas. The State is pumping sand from the south side to the north side at Indian River, disrupting the bottom and the surfbreak. Water quality is also a concern at Indian River Inlet (the mouth of Indian River at Chesapeake Bay), where the water suffers from nutrient enrichment problems. Sand pumping activities that may interrupt surfing at Indian River Inlet cease during the summer months." - excerpt from the Surfrider Foundation's State of the Beach report at http://www.surfrider.org/stateofthebeach/05-sr/state.asp?zone=MA&state=DE&cat=sa
