Stormwater Management Must Be a Forethought, Not an Afterthought
- "Stormwater management has historically been an afterthought -- when thought of at all -- to the site development process. Development tends to first lay out streets, lots, and public areas, and then consider how to deal with any required stormwater management concerns. As long as stormwater management remains an afterthought, even the best resource protection intentions are doomed to fail." - excerpt from the newly published Fundamentals of Urban Runoff Management.
