More New Beach Closures from San Francisco Bay's November Cosco Busan Oil Spill
- "In addition, at approximately 11:15 am this morning, Monday, January 28, further apparent crude oil contamination was reported on Linda Mar Beach in Pacifica and on the beach at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve in Moss Beach. Marine mammals were reported to be affected at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. Linda Mar Beach is already closed due to sewage spills. County Parks & Rec has CLOSED beach access to Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. Other beaches in northern San Mateo County are being evaluated for potential oil impact at this time." - excerpt from 1/28/08 email message from San Mateo County (CA) Environmental Health department.
