Bronx River Cleanup Gets More Funding
- The New York Attorney General's Office "is contributing $1.8 million to reduce water pollution and improve water quality in the Bronx River. The funding is part of the $7 million that the Attorney General's Office obtained from 2007 settlements with four local municipalities and the Yonkers Racetrack that ended their illegal discharges of raw sewage to the Bronx River." - excerpt from this Environment News Service article.
