EPA Issues Draft National Coastal Condition Report
- "This fourth National Coastal Condition Report (NCCR IV) assesses the condition of the nation’s estuaries and coastal embayments, including the coastal waters of the conterminous United States, Southeastern Alaska, Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. NCCR IV shows an overall condition score of 3.0 for the nation’s coastal waters; this score has improved substantially since 1990, but the overall condition of the nation’s coastal resources still continues to be rated fair." - excerpt from draft NCCR IV Executive Summary.
