Hotels Don't Belong on the Beach
- "The rest of California—and most everywhere else—learned a long time ago that hotels don't belong on beaches. People enjoy staying at hotels with views of water and beaches but, beyond that, there is not a single reason anyone in the 21st century would seriously consider allowing hotels to be built on an oceanfront beach in California." - excerpt from Editorial in Monterey County Herald. This is also an issue in Hawaii.
