Shark Attacks on the Pacific Coast are Quite Rare
- "From 1900 to the present there have been 180 authenticated unprovoked shark attacks reported from the Pacific Coast of North America. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife reports: "Since 1950, there have been 101 white shark attacks on humans in all of California.
