Florida's Beach Fill Costs Keep Rising
- "The legislation would reduce an allocation of $10 million to the Building Better Communities Obligation Bond Program and transfer it to the “Beach Erosion Mitigation and Renourishment” project, increasing its total allocation from $17.5 million to $27.5 million." "Right now, the state funds about $25-30 million annually to beach restoration. To keep pace with cost that total should be upwards of $45 million." - excerpts from articles in Miami Today and Pensacola News Journal.
