Methane seeps discovered off Oregon Coast
- In 2015, scientists knew of about 100 underwater methane "seep sites" off the coast of Oregon. New research indicates this was off by an order of magnitude! A study by Oregon State University and NOAA has documented up to 1,000 underwater methane seep sites in the PNW.
