Marinas, Harbors and Bays Are Most Polluted Coastal Waters

"In studies by the Southern California Coastal Water Research Project, bay and harbor water was consistently found to be the dirtiest part of the ocean. Among the most serious pollutants scientists found were copper from boat paints, zinc, raw human sewage dumped by boats, gasoline and oil by-products from motors and spills, and old solvents and grease cleaners that do not break down." - excerpt from a North County Times article at http://www.nctimes.net/news/2003/20030612/52727.html
