Biggest Threat to the Big Wave Spot of Tres Palmas, Puerto Rico
- "The biggest environmental threat facing Tres Palmas are two tourist resort developments proposed for the property in front of it. We just proposed the creation of a marine-recreational-sport-tourism reserve (park) to the present administration in Puerto Rico that would extend from Tres Palmas to Pools in Rincon. We are happy to report that the idea is getting a warm receiption. Another solution might be to rezone the area. We don't want to see the entire character of the town of Rincon destroyed by mega-development." (Quote from Riki De Soto, Chapter Chair of the Surfrider Puerto Rico Chapter)
