Three Coastal Environmental Priorities in Puerto Rico
- "There is the Northeast biodiversity corridor, a beautiful stretch of beach with no development now but with proposals stacked up; there's the potential for improper development at Tres Palmas and Wilderness on the Northwest corner, which would be like building a Miami styled resort in a small town; and there's the antiquated sewage treatment plants that aren't just polluting the surf, they're polluting the towns - it's a public health issue." Quote from Chad Nelsen, Surfrider's Environmental Director.
