Fisheries Agency Delays Congressionally-Mandated Report as Fish Populations Continue to Decline
- "If history is any indicator, no news is probably bad news. [The National Marine Fisheries Service has] sugar coated these reports in years past to mask the poor health of many important fish populations, but their tardiness is probably telling us that there's too much to hide. What else don't they want us to know?" said Roger Fleming, a Senior Attorney with New England's Conservation Law Foundation.
