The Titanic Had Everything Under the Sun Except a Sufficient Number of Lifeboats
- "In addition to splendid suites and cabins, the ship [the Titanic] had just about everything: a theater, two swimming pools, squash and tennis courts, a miniature golf course, sun parlors, a palm garden, libraries, a Turkish bath, and several restaurants, in addition to the main dining saloons, a billiard hall, ballrooms, lounges, a concert hall, a gymnasium, promenades, and four elevators -- everything except enough lifeboats to hold all her company." - excerpt from the book, The Ocean Almanac, by Robert Hendrickson, Doubleday, 1984, pg. 283.
