- "On July 20, 2011 the Surfrider Foundation Florida Chapters issued a press release applauding and concurring with a letter submitted to DEP by coastal scientists who harshly responded to the Florida DEP's action to suspend key environmental and health protections when rebuilding eroded beaches with dredged materials.
