Beach Bulldozing Banned in Nags Head
- "Nags Head commissioners on Wednesday effectively banned the practice of bulldozing sand to protect oceanfront property. 'Beach pushes' had been allowed if a property owner had obtained a permit from the state Division of Coastal Management. But some property owners have been illegally bulldozing the beach after dark and on weekends to avoid the scrutiny of zoning enforcement officials." - excerpt from this article in The Outer Banks Voice.
