Surfrider's Kauai Chapter Removed 25 Tons of Marine Debris from Kauai's Beaches in 2014
- "Sixteen cleanups were performed at Kealia, Hanamaulu, Nukoli’I, Kunia, Moloa’a, Mahaulepu and Shipwrecks beaches with 423 participants. A total of 95 targeted Net Patrol events were conducted by a total of 465 participants. A total of 2291 volunteer man-hours resulted in 25 tons of marine debris removed from our coastlines!" - excerpt from a description of the Marine Debris Program of Surfrider Foundation's Kauai Chapter.
