Two-year marine debris study completes in the Gulf
- A two-year study in the Gulf of Mexico found that Texas beaches experienced 10 times more plastic marine debris washed ashore than other Gulf states. Throughout the region, higher marine debris accumulation rates were recorded on beaches in the Spring and Summer, and areas near freshwater streams.
